Welcome to The Wee Butterfly
I’m Kat — founder, maker, packer, label-sticker, and the slightly chaotic heart behind this ever-evolving brand. What began as Aromelts back in October 2018 was a simple idea: to create high-quality, affordable wax melts that would fill people’s homes with beautiful fragrance.
Our Journey
Our first year was a whirlwind of growth and excitement… then the world turned upside down in 2020. Like so many others, we adapted, reshaped our plans, and carried on.
By 2021, we took a leap onto Etsy — and thanks to the incredible support of our customers, our little business continued to thrive.
But by 2022, something new began to flutter in: the feeling that it was time for a transformation. A metamorphosis.
And so, The Wee Butterfly was born — a brand that allowed us to spread our wings, expand our product range, and dream a little bigger.
Why a Butterfly?
Now, you might wonder why someone with an entirely irrational fear of butterflies would create a brand built around them.
The answer is simple… and a little sentimental.
My mum adored butterflies. They decorated everything she owned, and she would howl with laughter whenever I bolted away from one. Naming this business The Wee Butterfly — and seeing that tiny butterfly in the logo — brings me joy and a strong connection to her spirit. I know she’d be delighted knowing her love for them lives on here.
